About the Story
HYPNOTICA invites you to enter the mind-bending world of dreamwrights—mages who craft surreal musical performances in grand, shared dreams. Dreamwrights split their lives between the waking city of Senkaku, populated by the living, and the dreaming city known as the Yoshiza, inhabited by ghosts whose hunger for entertainment is only matched by their taste for cruelty.
NO-FOOT and GRIN are two such dreamwrights, but their hopes are dashed when their virtuoso performance goes horribly wrong, forcing them to consider a perilous deal.

Do It in the Sky
Do It in the Sky is GRIN and NO-FOOT’s magnum opus, with NO-FOOT’s haunting, warbling melody meant to imitate ethereal birdsong and a breakdown that showcases GRIN’s maniacal, ecstatic exuberance.

Thieves in the Night/Do It in the Sky Reprise
Thieves in the Night is meant to be two rival dreamwright’s song, featuring simpler beats and melodies.
The song is interrupted at 1:33 by NO-FOOT and GRIN, who hijack the performance and perform a remixed version of Do It in the Sky that ends with eerie silence.
Creating the Music

The soundtrack for HYPNOTICA was created by Marek Domagala, a talented Polish composer & sound designer who has created music and sound effects for a wide variety of indie games.
Marek previously worked with Christopher Mahon to create the lo-fi-inspired soundtrack for Black Heaven, the Lab’s visual novel.
For Hypnotica, Chris and Marek drew inspiration from stadium rave, electronica, and even eastern European folk music.
