Chris Mahon is a fantasy writer and essayist living in New York. He has a Bachelors in Creative Writing from Pacific Lutheran University (they weren’t Lutheran, and neither is he) and graduated from NYU’s Summer Publishing Institute in 2014. After taking a job at an independent book publisher in 2015, he went into hermitage in Brooklyn, NY.
As part of the 2015 Twitter Fiction Festival, he ran the project The Rats in the Walls, an H.P. Lovecraft-inspired ARG. You can see the story on ANIMAL New York and on The Dusty Rebel, and find photos and stories on the blog by searching for the tag “kilroyisgod” and “rats in the walls.”
You can also see his non-fiction work in the Hugo Award-winning Clarkesworld Magazine here:
- August 2013 Issue: The Candlelit World: The Dark Roots of Myth and Fantasy
- July 2016 Issue: Paradise Lost: A History of Fantasy and the Otherworld
If you ever want to get a hold of Chris for guest posting, collaboration, or a drink at the Lovecraft Bar in Manhattan, you can contact him at grimhands (at) gmail (dot) com. Be aware that he doesn’t drink, except for milk. Ungodly amounts of milk.
